A police officer approached Horo while in line outside a bathroom and holding a bill rolled up on March 20, according to the Daily Telegraph.

After being told to empty his pockets, the cop found a small amount of cocaine and was charged with one count of drug possession after midnight.

The court was told the podcast host wanted to take the drug to ‘sober himself up’ after drinking most of the day.

Magistrate Michael Allen said the media coverage of the drug bust was punishment enough.

‘I find it extraordinary that a matter such as this has made its way to a newspaper in the way that it has,’ said the Magistrate.

‘I do not find it in any way in the public interest, particularly before it comes before a court.

‘It is sadly prevalent in our community and a reflection on the decadence that is influencing the streets of this city.’

Horo was been placed on a conditional release order for 12 months, meaning he could be resentenced.

On Monday afternoon, Horo posted a photo of himself with his hands in a prayer position on Instagram.

The image was accompanied by the words, ‘Week of Doom. Scopeful.’

Horo’s account is tagged with the location Dharamsala, a city in India that is home to the Dalai Lama, the head of Tibetan Buddhism.

‘The Scope’ is the name of Horo’s weekly podcast where he chats about league and American sports with guests such as NRL stars Todd Carney, Nathan Cleary and Paul Gallen.

Horo debuted with the Parramatta Eels in 2010 before joining the Eagles in 2013.
