A Facebook Marketplace post advertising rooms for rent for nudists has divided users and attracted dozens of cheeky comments.

Two rooms in the home in Logan, south of Brisbane, were advertised last week for $200 each in a listing titled ‘Nudist House’.

‘Nudists welcome, private, cosy, entertaining and respectful home,’ the ad stated.

The post was soon flooded with jokes about not needing to move a wardrobe in and whether masks needed to be worn inside.

Other commenters wondered if they would be allowed to drive the bright orange sportscar in the driveway, and one said the furniture looked a little ‘bare’.

‘Do I get to drive the supra if I move in,’ one user asked.

One more asked, ‘do we have to wear masks inside’, and another asked about the cleaning regime of the house.

A Facebook user said ‘I don’t have to bother bringing my wardrobe’, while another wanted ‘photos of other tenants before I make my mind up about an inspection’.

Yet another commenter hoped the house was heated, while one another person asked if they could walk to bus stop in the nude too.

One Facebook comment asked if the gym equipment in the house would be sanitised  or not

The house is a large brick home located in the suburb of Springwood with a pool, and the post shows the lounge room, with a gymnasium tightly squeezed into the corner.

One social media user hoped the gym would be sanitised after use, while another said, ‘I bet there’s no cupboards or storage for your clothes, hence nudists wanted’.

One commentator hit back at the others saying ‘seriously people, we are living in a pretty progressive society’, highlighting that taboo topics like nudism are becoming more accepted.

Nudism – or naturalism – started back in Australia in the 1920s when it was illegal, until it expanded after the second world war where some clubs were established.

The Australian Nudist Federation was founded in 1968 to promote nudism on a national scale, including sporting and social events.

One nudist accommodation facility in Queensland touted discovering the ‘freedom that comes with shedding not only your clothing, but also all the stresses of your busy life.’
