A frightening crash which saw two cars collide at a busy intersection has viewers divided over who is at fault.

The SUV was slowly turning right across the intersection when the sedan appeared in view and drove straight ahead.

The two vehicles collided, immediately crushing their bonnets, as the SUV was thrown backwards from the impact.
The horrifying footage posted to Dash Cam Owners Australia has sparked debate with motorists over who was in the wrong.
‘The silver saw it coming and could’ve stopped in plenty of time to let them go through,’ one user said.
‘White car ran the red light, silver had the green arrow, I know this intersection and drive it nearly everyday,’ another man argued.
‘I don’t understand how hard it is to wait for a car to go past and then proceed to go when it’s clear,’ another commented.
‘I’d say the SUV got a green arrow hence both cars taking off not just the one and why would they sit at the intersection just to take off on the red arrow,’ a fifth motorist said.
