A 44-year-old man is facing 45 charges over the repeated sexual and physical abuse of three young girls in Sydney’s southwest.

NSW Police will allege in Campbelltown Local Court on Wednesday the man sexually and physically abused three girls – then aged between four and 16 – repeatedly between 1999 and 2017.

In September Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad detectives began investigating complaints three girls had been sexually abused by a man known to them.

They travelled to Noosa in Queensland in February and arrested the man on three outstanding NSW arrest warrants.

He was extradited to NSW and charged with 45 offences including 12 counts of sexual intercourse with a child aged under 10 and 10 counts of sexual intercourse with a child aged 10-12 years.

He was also charged with indecent assault of a child under 16, common assault, inciting a person under 16 to commit an act of indecency and supplying a prohibited drug to child under 16.
