'Maybe he's getting nervous!' Boris Johnson calls Ian Blackford's bluff over independence

Boris Johnson told the House of Commons that he was amazed Ian Blackford had not called for another referendum during his two questions in Westminster. The Prime Minister added that the SNP MP looks to be getting nervous regarding repeatedly demanding a vote on Scottish independence.

Mr Johnson said: “The right honourable gentleman represents a party that is so devoid of imagination that it cannot come up with any workable solutions to help the people of Scotland improve their education, improve the fight against crime.

“[They will not] cut taxes in Scotland where they are the highest in the whole of the UK.

“They are so devoid of imagination, they are a one-track record.

“All they can talk about is a referendum to break up the UK.

“I am amazed, that is twice he has not mentioned it, maybe he is getting nervous about singing that particular song.

“It is rather curious, after easter let’s see if he mentions it again.”
