Police have identified 15 dangerous apps which parents should know about if they want to keep their children safe, and it includes some that most kids use.
Mount Druitt Police Area Command shared a graphic on Facebook on Tuesday which detailed apps that expose children to all kinds of dangers.
Among the apps listed was TikTok – a commonly used site for creating and sharing short videos.
‘With very limited privacy controls, users are vulnerable to bullying and explicit content,’ the police warning said.

The warning also listed a number of dating apps including Bumble, Grindr, Skout, Badoo and MeetMe.
Messaging app KiK was also featured on the graphic, as well as video-sharing service Holla.
‘Reviewers say they have been confronted with racial slurs, explicit content and more,’ the warning reads.
Police have also warned parents about Ask.fm, saying the app ‘is known for cyber bullying’.
The remaining apps of the graphics are streaming app LiveMe, secret sharing app Whisper, history hiding app Calculator and appearance rating app HotorNot.
The warning also listed a number of dating apps including Bumble, Grindr, Skout, Badoo and MeetMe
